The Carencro Bears outscored Leesville, 40-19, in the second half to pull away for a 67-48 win on the final day of the City Savings Bank Timberland Christmas Classic at Jerry Hickman Memorial Gymnasium on the campus of DeRidder High School on Saturday.
The Wampus Cats held a 29-27 lead at halftime.
But in the third, that lead dissipated behind strong play from Carencro's Jovonnas Domingue, who scored 17 in the second half, finishing with 22 in the game. 
Early in the third, Leesville had closed the gap to nine, but Domingue hit a three and was fouled. After making the free throw, the lead was back to 13 at 52-39 with six minutes to go.
Leesville did not get another basket until there were just two minutes to go, making the score, 60-41.
The Wampus Cats were led by standout guard Levander Liggins, who scored 16 points, but only three in the second half. Jeron Hamm chipped in with seven and Dreyone Jenkins added eight.
With the loss, Leesville's record dropped to 10-8.
