One day after knocking off the Evans Eagles, the Pickering Red Devils ran into the Simpson Broncos at the H-Town Holiday Jam in Hornbeck.
Down by as many as eight points in the second half, the Red Devils (11-3) rallied to beat the Broncos, 65-62.
Simpson (14-11) took a 15-9 lead at the end of the first quarter as Kade Martin made a trio of three-pointers in the opening eight minutes of the contest.
The Broncos were able to keep their lead during the second period as Jordan Terrell and Travis McDonald led the way. Each team scored 12 points in the frame, allowing Simpson to take a 27-21 lead at the half.
Pickering came out of the halftime break fired up, outscoring the Broncos in the frame, 21-18, getting to within three points of the lead, 45-42.
In the fourth, the Red Devils put up 23 points, while holding Simpson to 17, coming away with the win.
John Isaac led Pickering with 19 points, 12 boards, five blocks and five steals, while Brendan Smith had 15 points before fouling out in the fourth quarter. Nathan Stevens added 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Javon Boyd and Joey Smith added seven and six points, respectively.
Terrell paced Simpson with 25 points, 11 rebounds and a block, while Martin finished with 16 points and three rebounds. Deric Bennett added 14 points and three steals.
