A non-fatal shooting on Martin Luther King Drive in DeRidder landed a Fort Polk man in jail and a DeRidder resident in the emergency room early Friday morning.
DeRidder Police reported that Jacob Gray, 23, allegedly shot 25-year-old Terrance Cross in the back after an altercation around 1:00 a.m. Friday.
Gray was booked into the Beauregard Parish Jail on charges of aggravated second degree battery, illegal use of weapons, and possession of marijuana.  Detective Reese Martin said that Gray's bond was set at $51,000 (total). 
Authorities said that Cross was treated for his injuries and released from Beauregard Memorial Hospital.
