VPSO deputies arrested four on Friday for stealing prescription drugs.
Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft reported that Jordan Thorne, 24, of Forest Hill, Ashley P. Riccardi, 21, of Pineville, and two female juveniles ages 15 and 16, were arrested Friday, August 14 for the theft of the prescribed medication, Oxycodone.
The VPSO received a call Friday from a resident in Simpson who said that he had just witnessed someone running from his home.
The caller then went inside his home and discovered that a large quantity of his Oxycodone medication had been taken.
VPSO deputies, detectives and narcotics agents were called to the scene and located the suspects hiding in the wooded area behind the caller's residence.
Thorne was charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, criminal trespass, criminal conspiracy, obstruction of justice, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal discharge of a weapon, possession of schedule II narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Riccardi also was charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile as well as criminal trespass, criminal conspiracy, possession of schedule II narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At press time, Thorne's total bond was $120,350, and Riccardi's bond totaled $87,050.
The two female juveniles were arrested and then later released into the custody of their parents.
