More soldiers are home to Fort Polk after serving in Iraq.
An Army medical crew has returned to Fort Polk after more than a year of service in Iraq.
Soldiers of the 115th Combat Support Hospital were welcomed back to the Louisiana base on Friday.
They also got a new commander: Col. Patricia Darnauer replaced Col. John McGrath.
The medical team was praised by base commander Brig. Gen. James C. Yarbrough, who noted that in 15 months in Iraq the unit provided health care for 30,000 detainees.
