A Leesville man has been charged with multiple counts of burglary, according to Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft.
Vernon Parish Sheriff's detectives arrested Dennis Lee Quinn Jr., 27, of Leesville on the morning of Aug. 22 as he was attemping to burglarize a vehicle left at a night club south of Leesville. Detectives have been investigating several similar burglaries of vehicles left unattended at night clubs in the same area. Stereos and speakers were among items stolen.
Detectives also learned Quinn was responsible for other recent vehicle burglaries in the area.
Quinn has been charged with five counts of simple burglary, three counts of theft over $500.00, two counts of theft over $300.00 and one count of attempted simple burglary. The total bond for these charges has been set at $314,500.00.
Quinn remains in the Vernon Parish Jail at this time.
Craft encouraged night club patron to lock their vehicles and not leave any valuables in their vehicles.
