ANACOCO–A wreck here at about 7 a.m. Monday morning has left one woman injured, according to Chief of Police Randall Bryan.
The wreck occurred on U.S. 171 S. just before Ball Park Road.
Wanda Foote, of Anacoco, was stopped in her 1996 Toyota Camry behind a logging truck which itself was stopped behind a school bus that was loading passengers, when Ryan Alford, of Florien, driving a 2001 Nissan pick-up, rear-ended Foote's car. The car's front end became lodged beneath the log truck, while Alford's truck left the left side of the highway and entered the woods.
The school bus was not involved in the wreck, said Bryan. The driver of the log truck was uninjured.
Both Foote and Alford wre taken to Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville. Bryan said that Foote complained of pain in her lower back  and hips, while Alford had a bump on his head.
After x-rays, hospital staff had Foote up and walking, said Bryan, and Alford was later released.
Foote and Alford's vehicles were both totaled in the accident, while the log truck sustained no damage, said Bryan.
