The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office announced Thursday morning that they've made two arrests in connection to the murder of Christopher Hoffpauir, 21.

 


The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office announced Thursday morning that they've made two arrests in connection to the murder of Christopher Hoffpauir, 21.

Hoffpauir's body was found east of Leesville early Monday morning on the side of Garwood Busby Road, June 14.

Sheriff's detectives arrested Kristyn Hoffpauir, 20, the estranged wife of the vicitim, and Justin Sizemore, 23, of Lecompte late on Wednesday.

Chief Detective Marvin Hilton said that Kristyn Hoffpauir confessed around 5:30 Wednesday afternoon. Sizemore, her boyfriend, was located and detained in Rapides Parish before being brought to the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office where he was arrested around 7:15 p.m.

Both suspects are in custody, said Hilton, and have been charged with first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in connection to the death of Christopher Hoffpauir. A total bond of $750,000 has been set on each.

The VPSO is continuing its investigation.
