Editor's Note: The following is the final in a series of articles concerning propositions that will be on ballots throughout the parish on April 30. Of the 13 propositions, five will be put before the entire parish, while two will concern Town of Rosepine voters; two will concern voters in Road District 3; two will concern voters in Road District 4; and two will concern voters in Road District 1.

Voters in Rosepine will consider on April 30 whether to approve a 40-year 1/2 percent sales and use tax for improving streets, public utilities, fire protection, water and the sanitary sewer system, economic development activities and other operating expenses of the Town of Rosepine.
The town expects to collect about $41,212.50 annually on the tax and would have the authority to fund the tax into debt. The tax would begin January 1, 2012.
