A Leesville woman has been arrested for negligent homicide after a domestic altercation with her husband, according to the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office.


A Leesville woman has been arrested for negligent homicide after a domestic altercation with her husband, according to the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office.
An early morning call to the Vernon Parish 911 Center led emergency personnel to an injured and unresponsive man on Willow Bend Circle in Leesville. The man was later identified as Woodrow Crawford, 40, of Leesville.
Detectives discovered that Calisia Crawford, 40, of Leesville, allegedly fatally struck her husband, Woodrow Crawford, with  a vehicle she was operating. The incident occurred in connection with a domestice altercation. Woodrow Crawford was transported to Byrd Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Calisia Crawford was arrested and booked into the Vernon Parish Jail on one count of negligent homicide with a bond of $ 50,000. She remained in the Vernon Parish jail at press time.
