Ricky Bretherton, along with others from the A&E TV program, “Billy the Exterminator” visited Evans High School 4-H meetings on Thursday, Nov.10. The visitors explained the importance of animal rescue, including personal information about their own pets.  They brought a tame Alaskan Timber wolf, a wolf pup and a young crocodile to show 4-H members.


Ricky Bretherton, along with others from the A&E TV program, “Billy the Exterminator” visited Evans High School 4-H meetings on Thursday, Nov.10. The visitors explained the importance of animal rescue, including personal information about their own pets.  They brought a tame Alaskan Timber wolf, a wolf pup and a young crocodile to show 4-H members. The special guests signed autographs and posed for pictures during the morning clubs.
Hunter Smith, Evans Elementary 4-H Vice-President, is responsible for planning monthly programs for elementary meetings, and he surprised elementary, junior high and High School club members with the Vex-Con guests. Vex-Con is a family business that started in Bossier City, n May, 1996. They are known for their use of organic control of pests, including animals, insects and termites.
Bretherton's special interest at this time involves a program to help feed hungry families. Hunters who have killed more wild game than needed for their own families are encouraged to donate the packaged meat to needy families.
