The Iota Gamma Gamma chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., of Fort Polk and Leesville, hosted its Achievement Week Program on Nov. 18.


The Iota Gamma Gamma chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., of Fort Polk and Leesville, hosted its Achievement Week Program on Nov. 18.
The fraternity was founded on Nov. 17, 1911. This year's program was significant for the chapter's 100-year anniversary. The banquet, held at the Warrior Community Center at Fort Polk, featured Keith Stevens, of the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, as the keynote speaker.
Numerous honors were given in various categories, including:
Reginald Seastrunk, Department of Defense Achievement Award; Gene Davis, Field of Education Achievement Award; Carolyn Todd, Civic and Community Service Achievement Award;  Martin Johnson, Business and Entrepreneur Award; and Joseph Garner, Spiritual Award.
The Theta Delta Chapter of Northwestern State University and the Epsilon Xi chapter, from Alexandria, also participated in the event.
