  • Bobby A. Bordelon, son of Pat and the late Bobby A. Bordelon, Sr., has been named as the King of the King Chrstopher XXXVII Mardi Gras parade. Bordelon is a native of Vernon Parish and a 1977 graduate of Leesville High School. He received a diploma in carpentry from West Louisiana Vocational Technical Institute in 1979; he also received his associates degree from McNeese State University in 1993. He has also earned certifications in the construction field. Bordelon has been employed with the Central Louisiana Technical College as the carpentry instructor for 22 years.
    Bordelon is married to Renee Rolon Bordelon. They have two children: Brenna, a student at Northwestern State University and Bryce, a student at Leesville High School.
    Bordelon is an active member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, where he serves with the Knights of Columbus 4156 and Fourth Degree Council 2975. He is also an active volunteer for the Vernon Parish 4-H club and the Leesville High School soccer, football and baseball teams. He has also been an active supporter of Little Dribblers, Leesville ASYO soccer, Leesville Dixie Youth Baseball and the Vernon Youth Association.
    He is also a member of the Wagon Wheel Riding Club of Vernon Parish. He is also a volunteer coach at Leesville Junior High School as well as for many other Vernon Parish community projects.
