The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division cited seven men over the weekend for being over the limit on migratory game birds on Catahoula Lake in LaSalle Parish.

DWF agents seize 51 teal

JENA — The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division cited seven men over the weekend for being over the limit on migratory game birds on Catahoula Lake in LaSalle Parish.

Agents stopped two separate groups for a license and limit inspections Saturday and Sunday.

In total, the men had 51 teal, 12 and seven over the limit for the respective groups.

Officials say John P. Randall of Urania; Clint L. Cooksey of Jena; Steven C. Douglas of Olla; Dusty D. Ducote of Alexandria; Austin G. Linzay of Lecompte; Brandon L. Simmons of Marksville and a 17-year-old were issued citations for possessing over the limit of migratory game birds.

Agents gave the teal to charity.
