A Leesville man was arrested on Sept. 21 for theft and possession of Hydrocodone, among other charges.

A Leesville man was arrested on Sept. 21 for theft and possession of Hydrocodone, among other charges.
James Bernard Williams, Jr., 27, was charged with one count each of theft under $500, illegal possession of stolen things, possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substances (CDS), simple criminal damage to property and simple battery.
According to the Leesville Police Department, Bernard was arrested on Sept. 21 after a report of theft had been filed with the LPD. The stolen items, which had been identified by the victim, were located in Williams' possession at his residence. A search of Williams incidental to the arrest revealed several loose Hydrocodone pills.
While Williams was being booked into the Leesville City Jail, an incident occurred where Williams took property belonging to another and caused damage to the property.
Williams' bond was set at $8,000; he currently remains in the Leesville City Jail.
