Dairy operations who have a change in producers in the operation or who pay a milk hand a certain quantity of milk each month, and therefore has a change of shares each month, must file a Form CCC-580M in the parish office prior to Nov. 1.
For dairy operations under a MILC contract, verifiable production evidence that confirms the dairy operation’s commercial milk marketings must be provided to parish offices before any payment will be issued. To obtain MILC benefits for all previous months for which a MILC payment rate was in effect, producers must provide the dairy operation’s production evidence and any supporting documentation, if not already submitted, for all eligible months by Nov. 1.
FSA also reminds dairy operations that the maximum 2012 fiscal year quantity for payment for September 2012 production changes from 2.985 million lbs. for the fiscal year to 2.4 million lbs.
Any dairy operation that cannot provide the required documentation to the satisfaction of COC will be ineligible for MILC program benefits. For more information about the MILC Program, please contact your local Farm Service Agency office.
