Two Vernon Parish residents were reappointed to the Sabine River Authority Board of Commissioners Friday.
Chester "C.A." Burgess, of Evans, and Therman Nash, of Anacoco, were named to the board Friday along with 11 other members.
Evans is the vice president of Master Craft construction, and Nash is a deputy with the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office and a U.S. Army veteran.
Also named to the board were Ron Williams, Henry Ned Goodeaux, and Frank Davis of Many, Bobby Williams of Florien, Daniel Cupit of Westlake, James Foret, Jr., of Sulphur, Norman Arbuckle of Logansport, Jerry Holmes of Keatchie, Estella Scott and Stanley Vidrine of DeRidder, and Byron Gibbs of Hackberry.
Goodeaux, Williams, Cupit, Arbuckle, Scott, Vidrine and Gibbs were also reappointed.
The Board of Commissioners for the Sabine River Authority serves to regulate, manage and maintain the waters of the Sabine River and its tributary streams. Four members must be from Sabine Parish, two members must be from Calcasieu, Beauregard, DeSoto and Vernon Parish, and one must be from Cameron Parish.
