The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that, weather permitting, work will begin on the Boundary Road Bridge replacement project on Feb. 28 and will continue for four months.

The project is located on Boundary Road over Brushy Bayou, which is approximately 0.5 mi. west of the intersection with La. 463. The 0.08 mi. long bridge replacement project will receive clearing and grubbing, removal of existing drainage structures and a four-span concrete slab span bridge.

The project was awarded to the low bidder, Guinn Construction, LLC in the amount of $326,200.

The contractor intends to remove the existing bridge on March 4. The roadway will be closed to traffic during the duration of the project.
