Applications are being accepted for scholarships offered through Northwestern State University’s Department of Criminal Justice, History and SocialSciences. Applications will be accepted through Feb. 28 for the Bradley Alan Daughtry Memorial Scholarship, the Glen DeVanie Memorial Scholarship, the Frank C. Kyle Memorial Scholarship, the Doyle and Barbara Bailey Scholarship and the Ricky Issac Jr. Memorial Scholarship in Criminal Justice and the Marion T. Loftin Scholarship in Social Sciences, History and Criminal Justice.

Kyle Memorial Scholarship, the Doyle and Barbara Bailey Scholarship and the Ricky Issac Jr. Memorial Scholarship in Criminal Justice and the Marion T. Loftin Scholarship in Social Sciences, History and Criminal Justice.
Students can apply by submitting an application which includes an essay that addresses their plan to impact andcontribute to their criminal justice career and explain how their degree will help them accomplish their goals.  Considerations also include a major in criminal justice, an overall GPA of 3.0 and for some scholarships junior or senior status. The Loftin Scholarship is open to majors in social science, history and criminal justice. One application can be used for all scholarships.
The scholarships will be awarded at the Honor’s Convocation for Arts and Letters on April 16 to students majoring in criminal justice with the award amounts presented in the fall and springsemesters. A student will be awarded each scholarship only once.
