The Greater Vernon Parish Chamber of Commerce recently held its first board of directors meeting for 2013 at the Vernon Parish Library. New board members and committee chairs were welcomed. The board welcomed U.S. Rep. John Fleming and his staff, and Michael Reese of Fort Polk Progress. Reese presented a power point program outlining the mission and activity of Fort Polk Progress including information on the Fort Polk Environmental Assessment Plan.
