4-H Demonstration Day for elementary school members was Feb. 20 at the Louisiana's Lions Camp. About 300 fourth, fifth, and sixth graders braved wind and cold weather to compete in a variety of presentation contests. The students competed in speeches, demonstrations, interviews, and illustrated talks. The 4-H members, club leaders, parents, and supporters were from Vernon Parish. Schools participating included Anacoco Elementary, Evans Elementary, Faith Training, Hicks Elementary, Hornbeck Elementary, Vernon Middle, Pickering Elementary, Rosepine Elementary, and Simpson Elementary.
