Hornbeck, La. -

Hornbeck residents will be asked to make a small change in their driving plans for the next two days.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that La. 392 in Hornbeck will be closed from 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, Feb. 9 until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10.
The work is being done at milepost 17.43 and will allow KCS Railroad crews time to change out the surfacing in the road's railroad crossing while DOTD crews also adjust the crossing approaches.
A detour will be set up to guide traffic around the construction site. Drivers will be directed to take US 171 South to La. 111 South and then take La. 392 East. All emergency agencies will be notified of the closure and in the case of an emergency the road can be opened for the proper officials.
The DOTD thanks drivers in advance for their patience during the road closure and also reminds drivers to be watchful of work crews and their equipment when traveling near the work site.
