The members of the string trio are musicians in the Vernon Parish Community Orchestra. Several other small ensembles are spin-offs of the large orchestra, including 2 Measure Up String Quartet; Once Upon a Time Small Ensemble and Silver and Gold String Quartet. On Sunday, March 21, there will be concert at Leeville High School auditorium during which the orchestra plans to share music specifically performed by ensembles of strings, percussion, brass, and woodwind.  In the second half, the ensembles will combine to play full orchestra favorites performed over the past five years.
The same concert will feature the conducting skills of the winner of the conductor contest.  Candidates are Robert Rose, John Crook and Rick Barnickel. Community members may contact their favorite candidate and donate votes for $1 per vote.
