The Vernon Arts Council has announced that Ballet Magnificat! will be performing the Christmas program "Deliver Us" on Thursday, December 3 at the Leesville High School auditorium.
The performance will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday night. 
From the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. to Singapore's historic Victoria Theatre, Ballet Magnificat! has been applauded for its world-class dance and powerful performances that are combined with life-impacting experiences to minister to audiences.
Created in 1986, Ballet Magnificat! has earned a reputation for excellence. Under the direction of founder and artistic director Kathy Thibodeaux, a silver medalist at the 1982 USA International Ballet Competition, Ballet Magnificat! two professional companies present artistic excellence rivaling any other dance company in the world.
Headquartered in Jackson, Miss., the companies put together over 200 performances each year throughout the world. Dancers have included former members of Les Ballet Jazz de Montreal, Spokane Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, the State Theatre of the Czech Republic, Oldenburgishes Staatstheater of West Germany, Ballet Mississippi, Eternia Dance Theater of Sweden, Ballet Etudes, Tallahassee Ballet Company, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Ballet Hawaii and the Houston Ballet Academy.
Tickets are currently available for $15 for adults and $7 for students. They may be purchased at the door or can be reserved early by contacting the Vernon Parish Tourism at 238-0783.
