American Legion Post 387 will conduct the annual Memorial Day ceremony in downtown Leesville Monday morning at the Veterans Plaza across from the post office.
The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. with the posting of the colors, said John James, post commander. Command Sgt. Maj. Steven Womack of the 4th Brigade, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Polk, will follow as guest speaker. Recognition of the Vietnam era and Taps will conclude the half-hour service.
Post 387 is also offering its annual crawfish boil, free and open to the public, immediately following the ceremony at the post's home in New Llano.
Post 145 will also offer a bar-b-que dinner afterwards.
