The “Holiday Express” will make a stop in Leesville once again this year, according to the Greater Vernon Parish Chamber of Commerce.

The train will be in Leesville at the Kansas City Southern Yard from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

The “Holiday Express” is a 6-car train which brings Santa and his elves to communities located along the KCS tracks. At each stop, the Kansas City charitable fund makes a contribution to the local Salvation Army in the form of gift cards.

Each car is decorated for Christmas, including “Rudy,” the smiling tank car, while other cars feature Santa's sleign and the elves' workshop.

Admission to the event is free.
