ANACOCO — Hunter McCrary poured in a career-high 33 points in leading the Anacoco Indians to a 59-44 win over the Pitkin Tigers in District 4-B play Tuesday night.

With the win, Anacoco improved to 18-10 overall, 6-0 in league play, clinching no worse than a share of the District 4-B title. Pitkin dropped to 15-18 overall, 1-5 in league play.

Brent Cosio, playing sick, finished with 14 points for the Indians.

Garrett Edwards led Pitkin with 16 points, while Gavin Schoener added 14 points.

HICKS — The Hicks Pirates rallied from a 6-point halftime deficit to beat the Fairview Panthers in District 4-B play on Tuesday night, 45-37.

Hicks (15-18, 3-2) had three players score 10 points each — Mitchell Kinchen, Trace Williams and Daniel Miller.

Dalt Reeves led Fairview (18-17, 2-4) with 12 points.

EVANS — The second-ranked Simpson Broncos overcame a sluggish first half to overcome the Evans Eagles in District 3-C play on Tuesday night, coming away with a 74-46 victory.

Simpson improved to 24-5 overall, 2-1 in league play, while Evans dropped to 4-18 on the season, 1-2 in district play.

Cameron Bettez drained six 3-pointers for Simpson en route to 22 points, while Austin Williams finished with 15 points.

Seth Degley poured in 26 points for the Eagles in the loss, while Hunter Smith chipped in with 10 points.

LAKE CHARLES — The Leesville Wampus Cats fell behind early and couldn’t overcome the deficit, falling in District 3-4A action on Tuesday night to the LaGrange Gators, 50-47.

Leesville dropped to 10-15 overall, 3-3 in league play as the Cats travel to face Crowley on Friday.

Kobe Joiner led a very balanced scoring effort for the Wampus Cats with seven points off the bench.

PICKERING — The Many Tigers had three players score in double figures as they defeated the homestanding Pickering Red Devils in District 3-2A play on Tuesday, 60-38.

Many (13-6, 7-1) got a game-high 25 points from Ken Cade, while A.J. Carter added 15 points. Jeffrey Frazier added 11 for Many.

Tyriq Norman and Glynnard Anderson each had seven for Pickering, which fell to 8-16 on the season, 4-3 in the league.

ROSEPINE — Desmond Green poured in 28 points to lead the Rapides Mustangs to a 107-61 win over the Rosepine Eagles on Tuesday in a District 3-2A contest.

Rapides (19-6, 8-1) got 19 points from Frederick Batiste, along with 13 from Dorian Blue en route to the easy victory.

The Eagles got 21 points from Josh Stephens in the loss, while post player Luke Breaux came in with 20 points.

Seth Stephens chipped in with 11 points for the Eagles in the loss, which dropped them to 7-18 on the season, including a 2-7 mark in league play.
