The Third Street Market, between Harriet and South Streets, in historic downtown Leesville, is running at full force as summer approaches and produce is thriving.

The market features locally grown fruits and vegetables, as well as a variety of jellies, jams, and salsas, among other handmade goods.

The following farmers/vendors set up at the market on Thursdays and/or Saturdays--

Freddie Manes, "From the Ground" farm, Hornbeck (produce)

Chip Evans, CK Farms, Pineville (beef and pork)

DeAnna Bordelon, Kisatchie (plants)

Glenn Ford, Deridder (produce)

John Shepard, "Hill of Beans Farm" (produce)

Mary Jo Kelly, Anacoco (produce)

Bill Hoover (jams and jellies, available Wednesday as well)

Kathy Johnson (baked goods, produce, jellies, jams)

Robbie and Joan Santana (authentic Lost Margaritas restaurant salsa)

There are other farmers and vendors who pop in from time to time, causing market offerings to fluctuate.

Anyone interested in selling homemade items and/or homegrown produce at the Third Street Farmer's Market must complete an application. They can be found online at www.goo.gl/YnsFok. or they are always available in a box at the market location.

Vendor fees are as follows--

$10 for one day

$30 for the month

$90 for three months

The market is open on Thursdays 3-6 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
