The Leesville City Council approved two resolutions at their Monday meeting, including the finalization of Fertitta Boulevard, which was part of a street rehabilitation project.

The Leesville City Council approved two resolutions at their Monday meeting, including the finalization of Fertitta Boulevard, which was part of a street rehabilitation project.

The first resolution allows Mayor Rick Allen to sign a certificate of completion, and a notice by owner of acceptance of work by Apeck Construction, for phase two of the Leesville street rehabilitation project. This action finalized the recent work on Fertitta Boulevard.

Council also approved a resolution to accept an application for a one-time retail alcoholic beverage permit for the sixth annual Change for Main Awards and Piccadilly Auction. This is a Friends of Leesville Main Street event.

Two ordinances were introduced in regards to rezoning. The first allows for commercial development in district one. The second poses a rezone from a highway commercial district to a general industrial district in order to allow for zoning conformity.

A final ordinance was introduced to amend uses and regulations regarding off-street parking and loading.
