The following school lunch menus for November were provided by the Vernon Parish School Board Food Service Department. Salad bar, milk and condiments are a choice daily.

Nov. 1 — Corndog, baked beans, oven-baked fries, mixed fruit,

Nov. 2 — Chicken breast patty with bun, potato tots, steamed broccoli, oatmeal raisin cookie, apricots.

Nov. 3 — Egg rolls, fried rice, frozen mixed vegetables, cheese stick, chilled peaches.

Nov. 6 — Hamburger with bun, French fries, ranch-style beans, lettuce/tomato/pickle, cup of orange wedges.

Nov. 7 — Chicken/sausage gumbo, steamed rice, potato salad, seasoned green beans, peach crunch, crackers.

Nov 8 — Barbecue beef with bun, potato rounds, Lima beans, fruit of manager’s choice.

Nov. 9 — Pinto beans and sausages, steamed rice, turnip greens, orange wedges, cornbread.

Nov. 10 — No school, Veteran’s Day.

Nov. 13 — Beef/chili/cheese nachos, corn on cob, ranch-style beans, apple wedges.

Nov. 14 — Steak fingers, mashed potatoes and gravy, Italian seasoned green beans, peaches and Jello cup, roll.

Nov. 15 — Thanksgiving Dinner: Sliced turkey, cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, English peas, cranberry sauce, sweet potato crunch, fresh fruit, roll.

Nov. 16 — Barbecue riblets with bun, macaroni and cheese, peas and carrots, pineapple hunks.

Nov. 17 — Chili/hot dog/bun, French fries, ranch-style beans, watermelon, coleslaw.

Nov. 20-24 — No school, Thanksgiving break.

Nov. 27 — Chicken shoestrings, baked sweet potato patties, steamed broccoli florets, iced fruit, roll.

Nov. 28 — Spaghetti and meat sauce, steamed corn, tossed salad cup, garlic bread, watermelon.

Nov. 29 — Corndog, baked beans, oven-baked fries, mixed fruit.

Nov. 30 — Egg rolls, fried rice, frozen mixed vegetables, cheese stick, chilled peaches.
