The Village of Simpson Town Council will vote on new costs for bulk water sales and new meter installation at its next month's meeting.

After speaking to different villages and towns in the area, Simpson Mayor Vickie Standifer decided on a $50 connection fee and the first 3,000 gallons included in that fee, plus $4.50 for the next 1,000 gallons after.

Standifer introduced a 'tap-in-fee' that will charged to home builders and homes at $450 for a new water meter installation. On top of the $450, there will be a $50 deposit and $10 connection fee.

The move to increase the fee was made after Standifer saw that village was losing money with on the previous price.

The Christmas parade was also announced for 5 p.m. on Dec. 3.

The next council meeting to approve the introduced ordinances will be Dec. 4 at 7 p.m.
