Average retail gasoline prices in Louisiana have not moved  in the past week, averaging $2.31/g Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 2,436 gas outlets in Louisiana.

About 70 million Americans are expected to travel 50 miles or more this week as the national celebrates Thanksgiving.

This compares with the national average that has fallen 2.6 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.54/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com. 

Prices Nov. 19 were 36.2 cents per gallon higher than the same date one year ago and are 8.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

The national average has increased 8.9 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 40.4 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.

According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on November 20 in Louisiana have ranged widely over the last five years:
$1.95/g in 2016, $1.91/g in 2015, $2.66/g in 2014, $3.00/g in 2013 and $3.21/g in 2012.
