There is a threat for light rain mixed with sleet in Beauregard and Vernon Parishes, as well as east Texas and central Louisiana today and tonight.

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles advises no ice accumulation is expected, but as temperatures drop to at or below freezing late tonight, there could be some slick spots on area roads and bridges.

Further south, by tonight into Friday morning, there is a chance of a rain/snow mix, across most of the region.

The probabilities for snow range from 5-10% in southeast Texas, to 10-20% in southwest Louisiana, to 20-30% in south central Louisiana. No snow accumulation is expected. Low temperatures through the weekend will be in the mid to upper 20's with highs reaching the 50 degrees or so.
