Michael and Anne Marie Chesher have been named Duke and Duchess for the 2018 Knights of Columbus King Christopher XLIII Mardi Gras Court.

Michael was born in Durant, OK and is the son of Scott and Stacey Chesher. He has been a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church for 2 years and is a member of the Knights of Columbus and serves as the Membership Director. He also serves as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister and is a CCD teacher.

A 2012 Graduate of Anacoco High School, Michael attended Northwestern State University of Louisiana where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology with a minor in Liberal Arts and Physical Science’s.

He is currently a teaching Science at Florien High School. Michael was named Middle School Teacher of the Year for Florien High School for the 2017-2018 school year.

In his free time, Michael enjoys Reading, Table Top Gaming, Cooking and Comic Books.

Anne Marie was born in Alexandria, LA. and is the daughter of Pat and Cynthia Lamitina. She has been a lifetime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She is a 2012 Graduate of Anacoco High School and later attended Northwestern State University of Louisiana where she graduated cum Laude and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi National honor Society. Anne Marie is currently teaching 2nd and 3rd grade at First Assembly Christian Academy and Teaches 8th Grade CCD at St. Michaels Catholic Church.

Anne Marie enjoys Reading, Interior Design and Crafting with her mom in her free time.
