Leesville High School standout corner Mckenzie Jackson announced he will further his football career at the Naval Academy Wednesday night.

Jackson said on Twitter, "I've been blessed with the opportunities that have been put before me. I want to thank God, my parents and coaches for the advice and influences they gave me. I would like to announce that I am continuing my education and football career at The Naval Academy."

Jackson was a first-team all-district selection this season with three interceptions and was also a weapon on offense and special teams. He racked up 751 yards on the ground and receiving in his final year as a Wampus Cat.

Jackson will officially sign his Letter of Intent on February 7 on National Signing Day.

The Midshipmen went 7-6 last year and ended the season by beating Virginia 49-7 in the Military Bowl.
