The Simpson community is holding a gun raffle to raise money for improvements for the Simpson Complex.
The high school and junior high baseball and softball teams, along with boys and girls Dixie Youth teams use the complex, and repairs and upgrades are becoming a necessity.
The funds raised will go toward repairing the fields, bricking the backstops, new scoreboards, repairing the bleachers, extending the concession stand, repairing drainage issues and the fixing the fences.
Tickets for the raffle cost $20 a piece, and they are also looking for business donations of $300 to pay for the guns. Businesses that donate will receive advertising on the outfield walls next season and inning sponsorships that will be announced during the game.
Those that wish to buy tickets can reach out to the Simpson Booster Club on Facebook, a Simpson player or email Jay Losavio at email@example.com.
They will be raffling off 32 different firearms daily in July on Facebook Live and on 93.5 KJAE.
