The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office (VPSO) has announced the arrest of Rashod Anthony Wallace, of Leesville.
Wallace has been charged with two counts of distribution of cocaine. Wallace was arrested by agents with the VPSO Narcotics Task Force on July 26th.
Wallace’s criminal history includes battery and criminal conspiracy charges in relation to a 2009 incident where Wallace and two associates had a confrontation with a Leesville resident that resulted in multiple gunshots being fired and five arrests being made.
Wallace’s bond was set at $100,000 Wallace remains in the VPSO jail.
If convicted of the crime Wallace could face serious prison time.
According Louisiana law he could be “sentenced to imprisonment at hard labor for not less than ten nor more than thirty years, at least ten years of which shall be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence, and may be fined not more than five hundred thousand dollars.”
