Jeffry Johnson, 57, of Hutton was arrested on July 31 for crimes against nature and molestation of a juvenile.
The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office (VPSO) received a complaint of historical sexual abuse involving Johnson and two minor victims. The abuse took place between 1997-2013 at two residences within Vernon Parish.
During the course of the investigation information was obtained that indicated Johnson may be in possession of inappropriate sexual images on his computer.
Detectives escorted Johnson to VPSO and during the course of an interview Johnson admitted to sexual contact with a minor.
A cursory search of Johnson’s computer resulted in a substantial amount of child pornography involving infants, children, and pre-pubescent minors. VPSO detectives contacted investigators with the Louisiana State Police (LDP) and requested their assistance in conducting a forensic examination of the computer.
Johnson was arrested and charged with one count of Crimes Against Nature and one count of Molestation of a Juvenile.
His bond was set at $100,000 by Judge Scott Westerchil.
VPSO detectives will conduct a joint investigation with LSP investigators to appropriately charge Johnson in relation to the child pornography.
Johnson remains in the VPSO jail awaiting additional charges.
