A missing person's report was filed on Tuesday, August 21 reporting that Kasaundra Jo Garnes, 28, of Leesville, had not been heard from in several days. The report was filed by family members who were concerned about her whereabouts and safety.
Garnes is a white female in her late twenties and has a tattoo on the left side of her neck. She has piercings in her lip, ears and nose.
Recent posts to social media by a woman claiming to be Garnes’ mother states Garnes has been found “safe and sound,” however, the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office has yet to recieve an official confirmation on Garnes’ location and well being at the time of this writing.
This means that Garnes is still considered to be a missing person by the sheriff’s office.
“Anyone with information about where she (Garnes) is, needs to let us know immediately.” VPSO Detective Rhonda Jordan said.
Jordan added that it is important that if she has been located the VPSO needs to know so they can properly ensure her safety and well being.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Garnes should contact the VPSO at 337-238-1311 or Crime Stoppers at 337-239-2233.
Those calling do not have to give their name, and a code number will be assigned to them.
