The VPSO announced the arrests of three individuals, one of whom allegedly broke into the home of an 82-year-old woman, stole numerous items and caused severe property damage. Among the items stolen were the victim’s car, firearms, jewelry, appliances and credit cards.

Dalton Bryce Lowe, 24, Kraig Jordan Roland Watson, 24 and Shannon Elizabeth Motes, 22, are currently being held at the Vernon Parish Jail.

The investigation into the burglary yielded numerous arrests with more expected.

Lowe was arrested by police after an anonymous citizen reported a suspicious vehicle, and discovered that it was the victim’s car being driven by Lowe.

Lowe subsequently admitted to burglarizing the home, stealing the car and selling some of the victim’s possessions to buy drugs.

The VPSO served three search warrants, two at homes in New Lano and a third at a home in Anacoco.

Watson and Motes were located at a home on Malcolm Smart Road in New Llano.

The VPSO detectives were able to recover some of the victim’s stolen firearms during the search of these three areas on Friday.

Dalton Bryce Lowe was charged with one count of Aggravated Burglary, one count of Criminal Trespass, one count of Theft over $5000, six counts of Theft of a Firearm, one count of Theft of a Motor Vehicle, one count of Criminal Damage to Property and three counts of Identity Theft.

His bond was set at $150,000 by 30th JDC Judge Tony Bennett. Lowe remains in the VPSO jail.

Kraig Jordan Roland Watson was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule I Narcotic (Marijuana in excess of 28 grams), one count of Possession of Marijuana with the intent to distribute, one count of Illegal Possession of a Firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Morphine), one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Morphine) with the intent to distribute and one count of Possession of CDS in the presence of a minor (Child endangerment law). Additional charged are expected.

His bond has not been set and Watson remains in the VPSO jail.

Shannon Elizabeth Motes was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule I Narcotic (Marijuana in excess of 28 grams), one count of Possession of Marijuana with the intent to distribute, one count of Illegal Possession of a Firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Morphine), one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Morphine) with the intent to distribute and one count of Possession of CDS in the presence of a minor (Child endangerment law). Additional charged are expected.

Her bond has not been set and Motes remains in the VPSO jail.
