In a matchup of undefeated teams, Leesville has to shut down an explosive running game, while keeping its own rolling.

Pineville comes to Leesville Friday sporting a 3-0 record and 567 rushing yards on the year, led by quarterback Ben West.

West has 306 rushing yards and four touchdowns to go with 313 passing yards for the Rebels.

Pineville operates out of the spread with plenty of designed runs for West, and the senior quarterback racked up 150 rushing yards last week in the Rebels 45-23 win over West Ouachita.

The Pineville defense is giving up just 14.3 points per game early in the season and is going up against an offense that averages 28.7 points.

The Leesville offense is led by a trio of running backs: D'Ante Gallashaw, Darius Sawyer and Jalen Shepherd.

Gallashaw (146 yards), Sawyer (131 yards) or Shepherd (341 yards) can have a big game on any night for the 3-0 Wampus Cats.

Quarterback Jacob Mount's favorite target Noah Allain recorded 58 yards on a pair of catches, and he has 133 yards on the year.

Wampus Cat linebacker Matthew is coming off a 19-tackle performance against Westlake and has 31 tackles in 2 games.

Leesville and Pineville kick off at 7 p.m. Friday night at Wampus Cat Stadium.
