The annual Vernon Parish Ducks Unlimited Banquet returns for its 18th year, offering a night of food, fun and chances to win an assortment of prizes.

The event, sponsored for the past 12 years by Alford Motors, will be taking place on Tuesday, October 23 at 6 p.m., marking the 18th annual banquet from the organization.

In addition to a full hickory barbeque dinner, guests and attendees will have the chance to win an assortment of prizes both at the door and during the banquet’s live auction.

15 guns will be available to win during the event, along with a camouflage print dirt bike and an assortment of print chairs. There is also set to be a raffle auction, as well as a silent auction for attendees.

2 gun raffles will be available at the West Louisiana Forestry Festival, which will enter people into winning either a Browning 12 gauge shotgun or a Browning 7mm 08 gun. Attendees who win one will be able to win the other, however, they must be present at the banquet in order to collect their prize.

Draft beer will be available to guests over the age of 21. Purchasing a cup provides access all night long during the event, along with a raffle. Guests can also purchase a raffle without buying a cup if they prefer.

Three levels of sponsorship are available for anyone wishing to support the banquet:

Bronze: $375

Silver: $800

Gold: $1,524

If you are interested in supporting the banquet, you can contact Vernon Parish Ducks Unlimited at (337) 392-2330 or visit their organization at 908 South 10th Street.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the organization as well, with tickets costing $55 for singles, and $80 for couples.

The event will be casual attire and is set to end at 9:30 p.m.
