Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of West Central Louisiana is offering the chance for one lucky child to have the playhouse of their dreams.

CASA is teaming up with Pollard Construction once again for their Playhouse Raffle.

The proceeds from the raffle will go to help CASA and the work they do for children in foster care.

CASA of West Central Louisiana Director Tommy Edwards thanked all those who support CASA throughout the year and thanked all involved in the raffle this year.

“Last year Mrs. Leila Pollard and the team at Pollard Construction contacted CASA and wanted to do something to help the children and the CASA Program,” Edwards said.

“Their hope was also to assist with raising additional funds, increase community awareness about the CASA program and help to support our efforts to recruit additional volunteers. We truly feel that their assistance and support are contributing factors in our recruitment and community awareness.” Edwards continued.

Tickets are still available, and the winner will be announced at the Vernon Parish Christmas Parade on December 8th in Leesville.

CASA is always looking to train more volunteers in their ongoing efforts to help children in need. CASA is a national association in the United States that supports and promotes court-appointed advocates for abused or neglected children in order to provide children with a safe and healthy environment in permanent homes.

CASA of West CenLA serves both Beauregard and Vernon Parishes and during their last tracking period, they increased their trained volunteers by 10.

They are actively recruiting community members who are interested in joining. They are looking for new people to train in 2019.
