The Post Office at Fullerton as it stood when the town was buzzing with a profitable sawmill and 5,000 residents in rural Vernon Parish. The train arrived a few feet beyond the automobile parked at the theater. The cafe' was just to the left of the post office and the drug store was directly across the street from the post office.

Remembering the past and honoring the lives which began at Fullerton Park will be the focus on an upcoming reunion at Fullerton Sunday, June 7.
With a former population of 5,000, the Fullerton Sawmill town existed from 1907-27 in Vernon Parish. It continues to live in the hearts of former residents and their families.
All who attend are urged to bring a picnic lunch, Fullerton memories, old photographs and questions about this impressive sawmill town to Fullerton Park.
The forest service is studying the Fullerton site and planning new trails and exhibits. To illustrate the life and time of this community, they need pictures of the town’s people and buildings.
At this year’s reunion they would lie to scan old pictures and immediately return the originals. All of the photos which have been distributed will be given to them but copies are also needed are copies showing businesses, housing, town facilities, interiors and how people lived in the community.
