Clint Black to headline Fort Polk's FreedomFest

Fort Polk, La. -

 An Independence Day celebration is set for July 4 at 5 p.m. on Headquarters Field here.
Headlining the show is country artist Clint Black, whose performance will begin at 8 p.m. Visual artist Richard Hight, a salute to the nation and Cajun music are also on the schedule. A fireworks display, the largest in West Central Louisiana, will be accompanied by matching music on KVVP 105.7FM.
Admission is free, and food and beverages from regional vendors will be available, as well as inflatable play areas for children.
The only on-site parking will be for vehicles with handicapped tags. Shuttle buses will run beginning at 4 p.m. from these locations: the Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital south parking lot; North Polk Elementary School; Perez Field; the Battle Command Training Center; and the Army and Air Force Exchange Service Mini Mall.
