Barbara Stainback, the newly appointed principal of Leesville Junior High, was recently elected the 2009-2010 president of the Louisiana Association of Principals by members attending the annual conference.
Stainback has been an educator for 31 years and an active member of LAP since 1996, according to the association.  Before becoming principal at Vernon Parish Middle School, she served at Pickering High and South Polk Elementary.  Barbara received her BA in Speech Education from NSU in 1978, her M.ED plus 30 in Administration, and obtained her ES.S also in Administration from McNeese. She is married to Mike Stainback, principal at Elizabeth High School in Allen Parish.  Daughter Corrie Barnickel-Jorgenson is a newlywed living and working in Austin, Texas with her husband, Adam.
