The Vernon Parish Chamber of Commerce is now accepting entries for the 2012 Vernon Parish Mardi Gras Parade, to be held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 18 in Leesville.
Entry forms are due by Feb. 17; the entry fee is $20 per person.
Entries are to be decorated for Mardi Gras; costumes and throwing beads are encouraged. Participants must indicate whether their entry has a truck or a marching unit.
Lineup for the parade will take place near Berry Avenue and Mechanic Street. Due to the lineups, each street will become one way beginning at noon.
An award will also be presented for the "Best of Parade."
