The Second Annual Gallery One Ellleven Competition Exhibit drew over 150 entries from five states and highlights accomplished local and regional artists working in very diverse media, subject and approach, say organizers.
Three dimensional work, pencil drawing, photography, painting, mixed media and pottery are but a few of the techniques represented in the exhibit.
The juror for this year's competition exhibit was Chris King, head of the Department of Art at the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts in Natchitoches.
There will be cash awards in various categories and the winners will be announced at the reception.
This year's sponsors are Claude "Buddy" Leach, The Vernon Parish Tourism Commission, Barksdale Federal Credit Union and Extra Space Storage in Leesville and Alexandria.
