Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan -

Members of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade (1st MEB), and augmentees to Task Force Warrior were honored in a combat patch ceremony in front of Task Force Warrior Headquarters, July 18.
Army Regulation 670-1, paragraph 28-17, authorizes U.S. Army units to wear the shoulder sleeve insignia — former wartime service, or combat patch, after involvement in combat operations against hostile forces lasting for a period of thirty (30) days or longer. The 1st MEB main body departed Fort Polk on June 14.
Task Force Warrior assumed mission responsibilities for operations in Kapisa, Parwan, Panjshir, and Bamyan provinces.
“Be proud of your accomplishments, and of the new symbol on your right shoulder.  It reflects positively on each of you and bonds us together in a shared commitment here in Afghanistan,” said Col. Scott A. Spellmon, Task Force Warrior commander.
