A fire in the Village of Anacoco Monday morning claimed the life of resident, Bun Zittle, 57.
Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft reported that the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a structural fire at 8:37 a.m. Monday, June 30.
Upon arriving at the residence located at 304 Norwood Lane in Anacoco, deputies made contact with members of the Anacoco Fire Department and Sundown Volunteer Fire Department who had also been dispatched to the fire.
“After the fire at the residence was extinguished, the body of Zittle was discovered in a bedroom,” said Craft.
The Sheriff’s Office notified the Louisiana Sate Fire Marshall’s office, and an officer from that department responded to the scene.
